Konami's Press Conference and Silent Hill News.

Yes the day is here! Konami unveils all its goodies at E3. Promising fans that you can tune in at www.konami.com/e3 to watch the live press conference. But its 1:10pm and the site is DOWN! What a disappointment to all Konami fans, let alone a HUGE announcement for Silent Hill fans. Some sites have been able to get some sort of live feed up, if you can find it.

Once starting they have been having technical difficulties as they displayed there first game Def Jam Rock Star, they trailer would not play. This is still a minor for those who have been on and kicked off the Konami website.

After watching some incredibly bad Luchalibre display on stage on we finally get to see not Silent Hill, but Saw 2! Now we are getting some where! After thinking Silent Hill will fallow because of its horror take it was Ninety Nine Nights. Not saying that there is anything wrong with Ninety Nine Nights.

During the conference Silent Hill fans have been thinking to them selfs that this Silent Hill announcement has GOT TO BE BIG! The last time Silent Hill was shown at a press conference was when they showed off Silent Hill 2. All other titles where either shown a trailer or a small kiosk at Konami's booth.

As each game passes the unthinkable, could become possible. Does Konami save the best for the last? Could there be something more to Silent Hill then expected? Are they going to show more than a new game? We are hoping that they save the best for last, Silent Hill.

Now over an hour in we get news about the new Silent Hill game. Lets get into the trailer! First thing you see is the title is thus far just called "Silent Hill" thats it, no number. Next you definitely recognize is the sound is different. Its not Akira Yamaoka, sadly, its Daniel Licht. You may have heard his music from the show Dexter. We also see that the main character is a prisoner. So now we are wondering why this person is in prison? A new element in this game is rain, and allot of it.

Finally we see what the "Other World" will look like and how it changes. The world around you turns to ash and objects get sucked in down the hallway as though someone was throwing them as they turn to ash. Over all looking at the difference of both "Other World" and the normal world, not a huge difference. Back to the rain, it definitely makes Silent Hill seem different.

My personal opinion on Silent Hill . . . I need to see/know more. There was no real combat shown but they said that it was going to be different. Also the story seems as they are trying to tell the story as flashbacks. But the ending does make you wonder as the buss goes off the end of the cliff, did the bus make it? What did he do to be come a prisoner? We also see that he fires the gun at a monster but then turns out to be a normal person. Could this be part of his past haunting him? All there is left is questions. Questions that we hope some day soon we will learn more. But I guess that is what Silent Hill is all about, Questions. That is what makes Silent Hill so terrifying. Not knowing what will happen or what did happen. I just wish there was more to see and more details about the game.

Silent Hill Fan Trailer

Just for fun, and the excitement of news of the new game, I made a teaser trailer out of some creepy footage I had. Enjoy!

Predictions for Silent Hill 6

Just a few months ago Konami announced partnership with Vatra Games to create a new Silent Hill title thus far known as "Silent Hill 6" is in development. Knowing also that the music composer Akira Yamaoka has left Konami to work for Grasshopper Manufacture. But in an interview with Akira Yamaoka he did say that if asked he would return to do another score for Silent Hill. No official word yet on if he is going to be doing the soundtrack for Silent Hill 6, but we can only hope.

At Konami's last press event they showed off a short teaser trailer of Silent Hill 6 with a character that some would describe to look similar to James Sunderland. Some say that Silent Hill 6 may not even be a sixth title in the series, but instead a remake of Silent Hill 2. Now knowing Silent Hill fans, and including myself, would say that remaking Silent Hill 2 would be a horrible idea just because Silent Hill 2 was perfect in our eyes. Even for a PS2 game, it still stands up to be one that will live on forever.

Another prediction for Silent Hill 6 is the long rumor that Vatra Games was working on a F.P.S. (First Person Shooter) and assumed that that was going to be the next Silent Hill title. Some would say that having Silent Hill turned into a first person shooter would kill the franchise, others have an open mind to it. Also referring back to Silent Hill 4: The Room did have first person elements in the game when ever you where trapped in Henry Townshend's room.

I guess the big thing with Silent Hill fans is change, its hard to change something so dear to ones heart such as a strong game like Silent Hill. Silent Hill has a little something that captivates them unlike any other game has. So why change something so much to make it unrecognizable to its predecessors?

Just the recent Silent Hill game "Silent Hill: Shattered Memories" was a small step into a new direction, but not far enough to make it an entirely different game. Like the creators said "Shattered Memories is a 're-imagining' of the first Silent Hill game" and thus it did, and did it well.

So our major concern when passing the torch, yet again, is not to change it so much to where it seems like a different game all together. Silent Hill has so much emotion, so much fear that when put together you get an experience like none other. I guess this is more of a "What I hope for" rather than a "Prediction" but all in the same, Silent Hill needs to stay Silent Hill. We will just have to wait till tomorrow for Konami's Press Conference at E3.

No Silent Hill First Person Shooter!

So I made this video to show that Silent Hill fans are upset about the rumor of Silent Hill becoming a First Person Shooter. This video is all in fun.

New Updates For Silent Hill 2 Movie

Okay so this is from IMDB so let just label this as "Rumor" news. Thus far the new film will be starting on June 14th and will run till August with a release of May 2011. The story will be based around the concept of Silent Hill 3. No word yet who will be directing or who will be in it, and no word yet if there will be another name change. But because of the new Resident Evil movie being shot in 3D, Silent Hill 2 will be more than likely be shot in 3D as well, sadly. Sony's Screen Gems Division is now attached to the Silent Hill movies and will continue on for at least one more installment, with Konami and Davis Films still being involved. The budget for this film will be slightly more then last time with $75,000,000 to $80,000,000.

New Silent Hill title coming soon!

Yes a new Silent Hill title has been announced, but no official name yet. I am trying to get my hands on the teaser trailer but at the moment its been kept under extreme wraps. At this moment very little is known but as we can tell it will NOT be a Wii title, it is made for 360, PS3 and PC. All we know about the main character at this moment is that he is blond, yep thats about it. I will post any new news as soon as I get any word from Konami. So keep your eyes on silenthillexperienced.com for the latest!

As for Akira Yamaoka, so far allot of people are saying he will not return but its not official! In an old interview with Akira he said that if they ask him he would come back to do the music for Silent Hill. But neither of these are official as of yet.

Silent Hill Experienced - Shattered Memories Review

My review is out! I was hoping to get this out sooner but things kinda came up. I also kinda hoped I would have more time with this and allot better equipment but now I am just complaining. So here it is, plus a little extra at the end. So I hope everyone enjoys and sorry about the bad green screen work.

Room of Angel (A Tribute to Akira Yamaoka)

So I have put this video up on YouTube and will posting it on Facebook as well here soon. I had made this about the time Silent Hill 4 The Room came out and I had listened to the soundtrack and fell in love with it. The song "Room of Angel" really grabbed me and it changed the way I listen to music. It was just incredible. So on my 18th birthday I was on the coast, and "Room of Angel" was always on my mind, and I decided to make a video showing my appreciation for Akira Yamaoka's work. So here it is!

Late Podcast

Okay so here is the story of the late podcast. I had it made and everything was going well. Till I finished editing it and found out that is was over 800mb. Now for those who do not know Vimeo has a limit of 500mb. After a long session of me screaming curs words at the computer I finally took it home and tried to encode it using my computer at home. Now using my computer is going to be tricky because there ended up being a virus on it and it has started eating away at my computer, but I knew that it was a risk I was going to have to take. After fighting with my POS computer I finally got it to be just over 400mb. So yes it is up! I hope everyone enjoys, and likes the free giveaways I am giving the viewers.

Computer Crash!

So not having a computer completely SUCKS! The major thing that I can't do right now is update my website. I have saved all of my stuff I just can't update because I have no working computer. I am shooting for a new one with our tax returns but we can only still hope. Updates will continue on YouTube and Facebook so at least we have that for the time being. Sorry again for this terrible draw back to the Silent Hill Experienced. But like I said before that as soon as I can get a new PC I will have everything up and running again. And perhaps some more videos will be posting more often as well.
